The little girl Anne Shirley entered this world as an orphan with most of her early years confined to the walls of an orphanage or under the roof of cruel families. However, fate took an unexpected turn when she was mistakenly sent to live with the Cuthberts, who had initially intended to adopt a boy instead of a girl. With her unique spirit, bright mind, and imagination, she ultimately convinced the Cuthberts to embrace her as an integral part of their family.

At its core, the story revolves around Anne's captivating journey to unearth her true identity, explore her aspirations, and courageously pursue love, acceptance, and her rightful place in the world.  Once abused and discriminated against due to her uniqueness, Anne's life took an awe-inspiring turn when she was surrounded by the right people who recognized her true worth. She found family, long-lasting friendships, embraced love's power, and, above all, found her authentic self.

"Fun Is A Serious Business"

Anne had a gift for pleasure and also – this is almost revolutionary – thought everyone had a right to joy. In her eyes, the world was full of enigmas and concealed wonders, and she viewed everything through the unique lens of her imagination. She refused to call a bond by its sensible name - Barry's Pond, so she called it "The Lake of Shining Waters". As a child, Anne's heart was brimming with dreams. One day, she wanted to be a seagull. "Don't you think it would be nice to wake up at sunrise and swoop down over the water and away out over that lovely blue all day; and then at night to fly back to one's nest?". She could spend the whole day in the forest, engaging in heartfelt conversations with wildflowers and making up fantasies. She found a joy within the very essence of everything that surrounded her.

"But Imagination Can Change The World"

Everyone carries their own story, and life can be tough. One of the remarkable aspects of Anne is her ability to maintain a pure and kind heart despite enduring past traumas from being bullied. Her vivid imagination becomes a source of resilience and strength.

Katie Maurice, the imaginary friend invented by Anne, appeared in Anne's reflection in a mirror, window, or water. Anne often talked to her when she was alone and sad, which deeply touches Kat's heart. While many children have imaginary friends, the way Anne invented Katie to heal her wounds reflects the sadness of her isolation at that time. With no true friend to confide in and care for her, Anne could only pour out her heart to Katie.

Yet, through Katie Maurice, Anne could overcome hardship and loneliness. Indeed, even a touch of imagination and dreams can warm our hearts and grant us the strength to endure life's challenges.
